If you receive a letter of investigation (LOI), it begins at the Flight Standards District Office (FSDO). You will receive the LOI and will have the option to contact the FSDO, ignore or contact your aviation attorney.

CHECKRIDE - What does that mean?
Sometimes after an LOI you are offered a 44-709 checkride. Contact us (your aviation law attorney), before you accept the invitation from a FSDO inspector.
